Daphne Turpin Forbes is a trusted legal and business advisor with 20+ years of corporate experience. Her corporate experience spans across Microsoft, Discovery Communications, ACS State & Local Solutions (formerly Lockheed Martin), Hyatt Hotels, and General Motors as an attorney, human resources professional, and diversity and inclusion champion. She is a leader who is passionate about diversity, inclusion, and equity, and has participated and collaborated with various organizations as a champion for diverse lawyers, legal professionals, and women. Daphne is effective at and enjoys leading people, projects, and process and claims civility and problem-solving as her superpowers. She has served on various non-profit boards and advisory councils nationally and in the Washington, DC metropolitan area, and is the recipient of various corporate awards for her D&I and client work. Most notably, she is a corporate recipient of the Microsoft MVP Circle of Excellence (Gold Club) Award, and the National Bar Association’s Clyde E. Bailey Corporate Leadership Award. She is a graduate of Michigan State University, and the American University Washington College of Law.

Casiya Thaniel is a trusted legal and business advisor with over 20 years of corporate experience at Verizon (formerly MCI Communications) and Microsoft--primarily in technology and cloud computing. Casiya is skilled at developing strategies based on her principled approach, operational excellence, customer relationships, and knowledge of the products and/or services contemplated. Casiya adeptly manages complex matters that require her to understand and navigate evolving global laws and regulations and the digital economy. She is a Certified Information Privacy Professional-U.S. and an alum of the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity.  Casiya serves on several boards and advisory councils whose goals extend from serving underserved, underrepresented communities to professionals in their respective fields. Casiya champions diversity and inclusion initiatives and has been the liaison for corporate relationships with the National Bar Association and Corporate Counsel Women of Color. Casiya holds a B.B.A. from Howard University, Master’s Certificate in Commercial Contract Management from George Washington University/ESI International and a J.D. from North Carolina Central University.
